Corbyn and Trevor couldn't believe their luck - finding an almost impossible rare hard copy of the unreleased Star Fox 2 for the SNES. They'd heard so much about this hidden gem and had even emulated it, but to be able to play a genuine copy on a real SNES was a dream come true!
Clicking the unlabeled cartridge into the system, Corbyn and Trevor prepared to play through the entire story of the game when suddenly, the SNES flickered briefly.
Looking at one another with concern, they looked at the cartridge. It seemed to be fine. Maybe sitting around in a factory for so long had caused a bit of dust to fall in it. Or heck, maybe it was just a flash cart and not the real deal.
Either way, the game seemed fine, so the two gamers picked up their controllers. At the same time, both of them hit "Start."
Suddenly, the Super Nintendo exploded into arc of bright lightning and sparks and the two gamers were overwhelmed by an unbelievable energy which engulfed them as they tried to drop their controllers and get away.
Trevor opened his eyes and saw that his shirt was still being swallowed by a ring of light, which traveled up and through his body, making him feel very, very different everywhere it touched. Once again, he clamped his eyes shut, trying to wake up from whatever was happening.
Corbyn saw that Trevor as changing as looked down to see that his blue overshirt was morphing into a sort of short jacket-vest; a small scarf forming around his neck.
"Hey, Trevor, I- Eeep!!!" Corbyn had begun to speak, but soon realized he wasn't speaking in his voice anymore. It was very light, high-pitched; feminine. It was felt so weird to have a vocal range that would no longer go lower. But then, he had a LOT of other things on his mind
Trevor heard this and closed his eyes tighter, demanding that he wake up. He'd almost convinced himself that this was indeed a dream when he let out a light whimpering sound. Which much like Corbyn's voice, didn't belong to him and yet came FROM him.
Corbyn looked at his hands, which now bore fingerless gloves on them. But that was the LEAST noteworthy change, as his new hand and arms also bore a coat of light, tan fur on them! He looked down to the rest of him but saw something that slightly obscured his view. Or rather, a PAIR of things. Looking around his newly-formed breasts he could see that the light was traveling further and further down his legs, moving past the waist and - upon passing the crotch - assuring that Corbyn would no longer be a "he" anymore.
Trevor let out a little sneeze as something long and furry fell in front of his - now somewhat sensitive - nose. Opening his eyes and pulling it away, he saw that the white-furred "thing" was in fact his ear! Not only that, but his whole BODY had changed! Now he wore what appeared to be some kind of flight uniform with a a tasteful fashion sense that-
Suddenly, but other the friends cried out in unison as the light engulfed their legs, causing the tingling all over them to become almost overwhelming. Whatever was happening, this was the biggest change of all!
The light finished with Trevor's legs first, leaving a pair of metallic boots behind. Only... these weren't just boots. And Trevor could field the difference immediately. These were, in fact, his LEGS now; made of metal, lightweight and surprisingly even more mobile than they'd been before. Looking over he could see that the catgirl that used to be Corbyn was in much the same condition, albeit with different colored metallic legs.
As the changes in their body began to finish, the pair soon realized that the whole of REALITY was shifting around them. Because the two were no longer in Trevor's house, but in some kind of military base. The world finished forming around them and they began to feel their heads flooded with new information, filling their minds with a new sense of identity, new skills, and new feelings they'd never felt before.
Finally, everything settled and the pair simply stared at one another in silence for a long moment, both filled with deep confusion at what had been experienced.
"Miyu! Fay! There you are!" came a voice from behind them. They turned to see Fox McCloud, his right-hand man Falco Lombardi in tow. "Pepper is getting the troops together to run the next set of drills! We've been looking all over for you!"
"We know you're still new here, but you've got to get with the program," Falco said with a slight sneer. "You were sloppy on our last run and it cost us .07 seconds. I'm not gonna carry you two if you can't keep up out there!"
Miyu and Fay found themselves saluting instinctively. "YES, SIR!" they said in unison. They didn't know what had just happened, but they DID know that they had to prove that they had what it takes to hang with Star Fox.
So, the four of them ran back toward the launch platform of Corneria base. They had a solar system to defend!

So, this was a commission for
and 
based on the Beta of Star Fox 2 for the Super Famicom/SNES. For those that don't know, it featured two new Star Fox characters - a dog named Fay and a lynx named Miyu. The game was very close to being finished but was ultimately scrapped in favor of releasing a game for the new Nintendo 64 console. The rest is history.
So, this is actually my first time drawing members of our favorite space-faring amputee furry group. Since there's no "official" artwork of anything below their heads, I pretty much decided to wing it. I like how I did on their metal legs/boots; combining original Star Fox imagery with Mega Man styled legs and adding a little feminine flair to it.
I'm MOSTLY happy with this, but I feel I could have done better on the lighting and special effects. Maybe I'm just being too hard on myself. Either way, I hope you all enjoy it!

this looks really good despite only evber seeing there heads. you did a excellent job and i never 2 a star fox 2 ever existed or was in devopment
