So, just to save you all a little bit of speculation, no, Aunt Kate has NOTHING to do with the necklace. She's just a supportive person who adapts to things quickly. So don't worry; no there are ulterior motives to her kindness.
Edit: Ugh... Forgot the wrist puffs on Jillian. Thanks for letting me know, Brandon. At least I remembered the pouch this time. XP
