Description
The jewel Tiana ended up pulling out was a gorgeous yet undefined crystal. Its rounded shape seemed to cling to her hand. Tiana pulled it close in order to examine it, when to her utter astonishment, the crystal slammed into her forehead!
In a panic, Tiana tried to pull it out, but rather than become extricated, the gem seemed to flex and shift in her grasp. As she pulled, the gem seemed also to pull away from her forehead... or at least the front of it did. Unbeknownst to Tiana, the gem had begun swirling and tightening into a conical horn, brimming with magical energy!
As the gemstone horn hardened, so too, did Tiana's hands, which to her continuing surprise, had formed into hooves. Suddenly, her back cracked downward, black hair turning red and red scales becoming pink fur. Her draconic tail lashed out and formed into a horse one, a brush of headfur like her new mane stemming from it.
As her legs - now her HIND legs - shifted in side, her new forelegs pushed her back upward until she was able to stand more or less normally again. ...Well, normally for a unicorn, anyway. The day was bright, the grass was green, and her new horn beckoned to her to gallop freely in celebration of a beautiful day!

A unicorn that ISN'T in MLP style? Whatever next!? Truth be known I was sort of inspired by The Last Unicorn on this one. I've always loved the visual style on the Rankin Bass fantasy cartoons, and this was no exception. Consider this my attempt to capture that magic in my own style.

Frigg yeah! I love The Last Unicorn! When I was younger I literally watched it every day for like a month lol. On VHS, too.
